Lighter gas for refillable lighters
With the right lighter gas your refillable lighter keeps burning strongly and evenly. In this collection you will find Silver Match butane gas for filling gas lighters, storm lighters, torch lighters and cigar lighters.
For many refillable lighters we recommend butane gas 45 PSI. Gas at the right pressure helps keep the flame stable and prevents a lighter burning weakly or unevenly after filling.

What gas do you need for your lighter?
Most refillable lighters run on butane gas. This gas is used for many gas lighters, storm lighters and torch lighters with a blue flame. Pay attention above all to the pressure of the gas. When the pressure is too low, the flame can become weak or the lighter can seem as if it is not working properly.
At PyroProducts we use and recommend Silver Match refill gas, because this gas suits the refillable lighters in our range well. The butane gas is filtered seven times, so fewer impurities are left behind in the valve. You can choose from a single can of 300 ml, good for 30 to 40 refills, a value pack of 4 x 300 ml or compact cans of 4 x 60 ml.

Always top your lighter up calmly and hold the can straight as instructed. Let the lighter rest briefly after filling before you use it. Is your lighter not working well after filling? That depends on the tank of your lighter. A small pocket lighter gets dozens out of it, a table model with four flames considerably fewer. One can usually lasts a season or longer in normal use.
Does this gas fit every refillable lighter?
On virtually all refillable models, because they use the same valve. The cans usually come with adapters for the odd sizes. Disposable lighters have no valve and cannot be refilled.
How do you store lighter gas safely?
Upright, dry and out of the sun, well away from heat sources and out of reach of children. Never leave a can in a warm car. Carrying it on a plane is banned almost everywhere, including in checked luggage.
